PHILIPSBURG--TelEm Group confirmed its participation in Carnival 2019 in a special collaboration with Rio Productions earlier this week. For the fiftieth anniversary of Carnival, TelEm will form an integral part of the Rio line-up and intends to “paint the town red” with custom-designed red Carnival costumes.

TelEm Group Marketing Manager Grisha Marten-Heyliger said on Thursday that this collaboration between TelEm and Rio Productions has been a long time in the works.

“Rio Productions has been organising Carnival events for over 20 years and is recognized throughout the region for its professionalism, great Carnival spirit, and extensive knowledge in organising successful parades. We want to even take it one step further by adding new elements to the parade and, of course, give it a touch of red,” she said.

Rio Productions President Brenda Wathey said she is happy to have the TelEm Group of companies on board. “TelEm has a very enthusiastic and energetic marketing team, and with their most successful ‘Night of the Hitmakers’ show they have also proven to be one of the best entertainment promoters on the island,” she said.

“For 50th year of Carnival we want to make a ‘Big Bang’ and truly mesmerise the participants, spectators and regional visitors alike. I am confident that with this special collaboration the entire event will be a most memorable one to get everyone in the spirit.”
