“You can count on me like one, two, three,

I'll be there

And I know when I need it, I can count on you like four, three, two,

You'll be there

'Cause that's what friends are supposed to do, oh yeah”

So, let me tell you guys about this weird theory I have. It may not make sense initially, but as you sit, think about it and compare it to real life situations, you will see that it makes a little sense. And I apologize if I’ve mentioned the theory before, but the story that comes along with it is brand spanking new.

Okay. Okay.

The theory is that small situations break up “real relationships” and big situations break up “fake relationships”. If you’re sitting at a desk, this is the part where you’d lean forward and put your elbows on the table to read better, lol. So, firstly I’m going to explain what I mean and then I’m going to tell you guys about a friendship of mine.

I feel like if you have a really good relationship with someone, the standards are set pretty high for each other. You never expect that person to hurt you, or do wrong by you. They should know you and your triggers, and they should never push those triggers. (Granted we all expect and leave room for a little disappointment due to human nature.) That being said, if this person does something that hurts you, no matter how small, it cuts you really, really deep because of all the aforementioned standards and knowings. “HOW could YOU do xyz to me?”

See, so if you’re in a relationship (this can mean friendship too, guys) and someone does something big to you, then you would question how real that relationship was to begin with. If this person goes directly for those triggers, or takes a shot straight below the belt; one would ask themselves “Were we ever really friends?” *Inserts perplexed face*

Of course, this is just a theory. And it won’t apply to every situation or relationship, but tell me it doesn’t make some sense.

Now, about my friend. Let’s call them “Bo”. I can guarantee you that Bo would be pissed that I ’am writing this, but I don’t care. Not that I don’t care about Bo, but we need to get passed some stuff! I miss Bo. And if I tell you why we stopped talking, you’d probably shake your head because it’s some school yard nonsense. AND this is the second time we’ve stopped talking.

Bo pissed me off! They sent me some texts that just made me want to smash my phone. HOW could you even think I’d be that type of person?

(Right now, you, the reader, are a party to my novella, my rant, my calling out of my friend... Carry on)

Granted the first time we stopped talking was technically my fault, BUT it was a misunderstanding that I apologized for 16,547,896 times. I remember that 16,546,895th time like it was yesterday. We had finally decided to put the past behind us and I was reunited with “my people”. This time, I get that they’re coming from a place of “Cam was stupid in the past”, but Bo said some things that made me honestly want to fight them and before I did so, I severed ties. Never responded to the texts and it’s been months.

Now we’re here again. YOU WRONG, though. I wish I could use emojis in this thing.

You better slide in these DMs! Else I’ll be entertaining the readers again next week with more of this beef!
