PHILIPSBURG--The Special Robbery Unit is investigating an armed robbery at a lottery office on L.B. Scott Road at 8:00pm Saturday.
According to reports, two men riding on a scooter arrived at the location. The passenger jumped off the scooter and stormed into the office with a shotgun in his hand. according to police. He threatened a woman worker with his weapon and forced her to hand over the day earnings.
After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the robber jumped back onto the scooter and both suspects fled the scene. Police are asking the community for any information that possibly would lead to the arrest of these culprits.
