WILLEMSTAD—Curaçao refinery holding “Refineria di Kòrsou” (RdK) confiscated the inventory in Bonaire petroleum company Bopec’s tanks. According to the government-owned holding, supply of fuel on the island is guaranteed. Distributor Curoil is allowed to use 85,000 barrels for local delivery.
RdK had previously placed an attachment on the storage and transhipment terminal of troubled “Petroleos de Venezuela” PDVSA. Reason is that the neighbouring South American country’s state-run oil company allegedly owes money for leasing the Isla refinery up to this year.
