Rio Productions and Kalaboom Events Lighted Parade 2019 filled the streets of Philipsburg with international and local acts as part of the “Oualichi Festival/SXM Best Weekend” on Friday. Event-goers dressed in lighted shirts had every trailer truck full. The Oualichi Festival/SXM Best Weekend is a popular St. Maarten summer festival featuring some of the finest local and international artistes effortlessly blending soca and dancehall music which attracts more than 5,000 participants annually from Dutch St. Maarten, French St. Martin and neighbouring islands. The event started at 8:00pm and ended in the Festival Village after midnight.
