Windward Islands Airways International's ground crew recently underwent hands-on training to operate a ground power unit (GPU), the airline's newest piece of equipment.
The GPU is a vehicle capable of supplying power to aircraft parked on the ground. The two days of training targeted groups of 12 Winair team members from the ramp, auto shop and maintenance departments each day.
