New TEATT Minister to take oath today

HARBOUR VIEW--Incoming Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transportation and Telecommunication TEATT Melissa Arrindell-Doncher is to take the oath of office before Governor Eugene Holiday today, Tuesday, at 11:00am, the Governor’s Cabinet announced on Monday afternoon.

Arrindell-Doncher’s appointment will bring the National Alliance (NA)-led Cabinet to its full capacity of seven Ministers. Justice Minister Rafael Boasman has been acting TEATT Minister since the Cabinet took office in December 2016.

The new Minister was put forward by the coalition member United St. Maarten Party (US Party) to Formateur Prime Minister William Marlin a month ago. All of the screenings have been completed and there is nothing impeding Arrindell-Doncher from taking the oath. US Party with three seats in Parliament supporting the coalition had also nominated Boasman.
