PHILIPSBURG--Students and teachers will not have to brave rush hour traffic to get to school on Monday, as schools around the country will be closed as a result of the snap parliamentary election.
Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport (ECYS) Jorien Wuite said in a brief statement on Friday that due to the election, all schools will be closed on February 26, and will resume normal operations the following day, Tuesday, February 27.
