Copa Airlines, the island's only direct link to Central America, recently donated a large quantity of gently used clothing, shoes and other items to the Lions Club for distribution to people who are in need.
The items came from airline passengers. Copa St. Maarten Station Manager Ilonka Heisterkamp commended the Lions on their commitment to community service. She looks forward to the items brightening up the lives of those most in need. She extended special thanks to Copa Baggage Department representatives Lourdes Vegas and Angel Buitrago.
