SYNOPSIS:
The dominant Atlantic high pressure system will continue to maintain brisk winds and elevated seas during this forecast period. A gradual improvement is expected from later this evening as the pressure gradient begins to weaken. Shallow patches of clouds transported across the local area by these winds will produce a few isolated showers.
Rough seas are expected with waves peaking up to 10 feet during the next 24 hours. Thereafter, winds will gradually decrease and seas are expected to subside. As a result, the small craft warning for above normal seas and high winds will remain in effect until tomorrow. Sea bathers and occupants of small crafts are urged to stay on shore to prevent personal injury or material damage.
