The dominant Atlantic high pressure system will continue to weaken during this forecast period. Consequently, winds and seas are expected to gradually subside. Meanwhile, a relatively dry and stable atmosphere will restrict precipitation across the region.

Seas are subsiding but expected to peak near 08 feet during the next 24 hours. Hence, a small craft advisory is in effect for St. Maarten due to above normal seas. Sea bathers and occupants of small crafts are advised to exercise caution.

STATE OF THE SEA: Moderate to rough         WAVES/SWELLS: 06 to 08 feet

SPECIAL FEATURE: None.

OUTLOOK through Monday midday: Fair to partly cloudy and breezy with isolated showers possible.

FORECASTER: Albert
