SPECIAL FEATURE:
- A tropical wave in the eastern Caribbean is showing signs of development and have a high chance (80%) of becoming a tropical depression within the next 5 days. This system does not pose a threat to St. Maarten.
- There is a tropical wave in the eastern Atlantic and another that is expected to emerge off the coast of Africa within the next few days. Both systems have a low chance (10% and 30%) of development within the next 5 days.
The Meteorological Department of St Maarten will continue to monitor these systems and update the public accordingly.
