The sudden downpour on Friday afternoon caused flash street flooding in several areas, including flood-prone Pointe Blanche and the road leading into the neighbourhood.
This created quite a messy situation for pedestrians braving the rain on a double cruise ship day. The runoff water also washed rocks and other small debris onto the roads. (Rajesh Chintaman photo)
