SURFACE WINDS: 
This afternoon through Monday midday: Easterly with a light to gentle breeze of 04 to 12 mph, becoming lighter and variable at times.


SYNOPSIS:  

Patches of moisture transported by light winds will account for brief isolated showers across the local area during this forecast period.

Slight to moderate marine conditions are expected for the next few days.

STATE OF THE SEA: Slight to Moderate    WAVES/SWELLS: 3 to 5 feet

SPECIAL FEATURES: 
At 11:00 AM, it was observed that Tropical Depression Eleven has degenerated into a trough of low pressure. The remnants of Tropical Depression Eleven was located near latitude 14.5 North, longitude 56.0 West or about 529 miles southeast of St. Maarten. This system does not pose a threat to St. Maarten and this is the last advisory.

At 11:00 AM, the center of Tropical Storm Kirk was located near latitude 9.3 North, longitude 30.2 West or about 2285 miles southeast of St. Maarten. Kirk is moving toward the west northwest near 21 mph with maximum sustained winds near 40 mph and higher gusts. Some strengthening is forecast during the next day or two. However, weakening is likely during the middle to latter part of the week. This system does not pose a threat to St. Maarten.
