Time is up

The owner of the former Air Lekkerbek restaurant on Walter J.A. Nisbeth Road has not reacted to the Ministry of Infrastructure’s notice to remove the old airplane and clean up the area.

The condition of the building’s structure and the interior and exterior debris/waste have been fire-prone for quite some time now and it has become the home of squatters. The ministry, based on the owner’s non-response, will remove the structure on Tuesday, December 11, at 9:00am. The ministry’s Inspection Department will assess the removal activities and ensure the safety of the adjacent area.
