There are some people I know who don’t like to talk on the phone or get together in person, and we mostly only communicate with each other by text or email. I prefer talking on the phone or meeting in person because you can tell a lot by a person’s expression and tone of voice.

I agree with you, but these days not many people do. How can you tell whether a person is joking or being serious if you cannot see their face or at least hear their voice?
