ANGUILLA—Eleven boats were fighting hard for four hours in the final race of the boating season to determine the Champion of Champions. Superstar just edged out De Tree to claim the title. Not far behind was Light and Peace followed by Sonic and then Bluebird.
There was a large crowd on the beach to cheer on the boats and much excitement when Superstar took the title as she had not come in first during any of the races during the week.
The winner could not be predicted until close to the finish as some of the boats tacked to the north and some to the south. In the end those that went north had the upper hand.
