Lise Coats is fulfilling her passion by helping others realise their goals as a life coach and an image consultant.
Coats discovered her love for image consulting and life coaching after she began working as an instructor at the Learning Ladder in 2014. “I realised that I had a deep passion for working with people and helping them achieve greatness in their lives and be more fulfilled.”
She pursued her passion and officially opened her business in February, but says she has been working with people and helping them build their self-esteem and self-confidence for many years already.
She holds an associate degree in business administration from Dominica State College and two certifications in Image Consulting and Life Coaching from IAP Career College from Canada.
“I love what I do because it brings meaning and gives me purpose – a purpose that so many of us are still searching for. I am comforted by the fact that I can contribute towards helping others find meaning in their lives.”
As an Image Consultant, Coats says she helps people enhance the way they project themselves outwardly to the world and help them improve their appearance and confidence to “achieve their social and professional goals and objectives.”
As a Life Coach, she says she works on how people see and feel about themselves inwardly. “I help people move forward and set personal and professional goals and I work with them to achieve these goals. I also help people identify the areas in their lives that are hindering them from truly succeeding and support them in doing the work, healing and breaking free from self-limiting beliefs, lack of confidence and other elements that make them stagnant.”
She said the two fields are not very common on the island or in the Caribbean culture, but said they are in demand and are markets for the world. “The problem is that too many are afraid to admit that they need help, choosing to suffer in silence… What I love about my job is the peace and fulfilment it gives me each and every day I work with a client. I feel empowered because I empower others. It's the most amazing job in the world and I absolutely love it.”
Coats says she is her own brand. “I am real. I am personal; and I don't judge. I see my client not in their place of brokenness, but in their place of greatness. The tools and techniques that I use are guaranteed to give life-changing results.”
Coats targets businesses, educational institutions, associations and individuals who she says are tired of being sick-and-tired and want a change and a new perspective; a new way of being and living. “People should make Image Consulting and Life Coaching a priority because it’s an investment in their own wellbeing. Why settle for less or settle for safe when you can dig deep inside yourself and maximize your full potential and be great?”
