Reading is fun! To celebrate and inspire reading, Learning Unlimited Preschool through Grade 5 classes observed Literacy Week on January 15-18. Under the theme “Spread the Joy of Reading,” students were involved in different activities for the entire week.
Activities included the following: Drop Everything and Read, T-Shirt Vocabulary Writing, Family Reading Day, Become a Character Day, Flashlight Reading, Cereal Box Book Report, Musical Books, Book Tasting and Buddy Reading.
Apart from having different activities, each class focused on and celebrated books from a featured author, including famous authors like Dr. Seuss, James Marshall, Eric Carle, Roald Dahl and Jan Brett.
