Monster Peom

By LF

Monsters and my mum just don’t get on

Don’t tell her as they will soon be gone!

If you tell her what is under my bed

She will scream and scream off her head!

Behind my door was a monster too

With yellow toes and googly-eyes of blue!

Behind her chair was another big, ugly one

His mouth hung open and he had a sagging bum!

I looked in the mirror on her dressing table

Oh my goodness! The monster was unstable!

It wobbled to and fro in the light

Looking like it wanted to fight!

I screamed and screamed and Mum came running

She cuddled me tight and explained

That what I saw was just me in the

Halloween mask I made at school!

Monsters don’t make Mum scared anymore

She really is someone I adore!
