~ A fun day out for kids! ~
Come one; come all to a special Christmas event at Asha Stevens Hillside Christian School in Cay Hill on Sunday, December 16. There will be a family fun day with entertainment, face painting, a DJ playing live music, and a major gift giveaway!
Members of the police force, fire department and ambulance service will also stop by, and you can speak to them and even check out their cars and trucks!
Santa will make an appearance, of course. He and his jolly helpers will be giving out gifts to children up to 15 years old. Any child up to that age is welcome to come and collect a gift! Yes, any child – it doesn’t matter what school you attend. Parents cannot collect gifts without the child being present.
This special event was put together by Dance & Arts Dimensions Academy. Instructors Inga Brown and Gersha Tjaaroeme told the KIDS Herald that the idea started after Hurricane Irma. They wanted to do something big, to see some smiling faces after the horrible hurricane.
Last year, many children came to enjoy the event, and the instructors say that some 800 gifts were given away.
Dance & Arts Dimensions Academy will be accepting donations (money or unwrapped children’s gifts) at the dance studio, located in the Yogesh Building until Friday, December 14.
Do you like to help? You can also ask the instructors about volunteering opportunities.
The event would not be possible without the help of sponsors including Winair, Obersi Group of Companies, Napa Auto Parts, Henderson Insurances, PCMI, ReMax, King Ocean Services, Tropical Shipping, Holland House and Asha Stevens Hillside Christian School.
The Christmas Helping Angels 1000 Gifts Giveaway takes place at Asha Stevens Hillside Christian School in Cay Hill, from 10:00am to 2:00pm on Sunday, December 16.
