This is the third year that Dance and Arts Dimensions Academy is doing its gift giveaway “A Thousand Gift Give-Away.” This is their give-back programme that they are very proud and happy to be holding again for this year, and it is truly and honestly for the kids!
This programme started after Hurricane Irma, and the Dance and Arts Dimensions Academy has worked hard every year along with their tireless sponsors to put on this event till now.
Who’s this for? Foster children, children from various churches, for ALL children really; as long as they come out.
Civil servants will be participating with the activities and gift-giving, and the Fire Department, Police Department and Ambulance will be there. The children will be able to go into the vehicles and learn a good bit about what these civil servants do. The Fire Trucks will actually be giving rides, which has become a huge hit since the beginning! “Oscar the Dog” is a Police K-9 that will also be making an appearance; the kids will love it!
Everything is about the kids this day. They will enjoy delicious food. Gift giving will take place at this event, and Santa will be there too, of course. Bouncy Houses, raffles for the parents, games, picture taking, face painting and so much more is happening.
Entertainment will be provided by the Dance and Arts Dimensions Academy and the Grain D’Or Dancers. There will also be a mini concert at 4:00pm.
Many local sponsors made this all possible. The organization would like to give them a BIG shout out; “Thank you for all the help throughout the year and the coming years.”
The organization is urging everyone to come out and the churches to come out with their youth. Last year they gave out 900 gifts, but this year they met their mark of 1,000 gifts. Have fun with your children, enjoy all the activities and get deeper into the Holiday Spirit.
Children must be present to receive their gift; age 0-15 years.
The Thousand Gift Give Away is happening on December 22 at Asha Stevens Hillside School, Cay Hill from 11:00am-5:00pm. Mini concert at 4:00pm. There is No Entrance Fee!!!
