open: Full service, full menu available
Avantika Thai Restaurant is back open for business. It was closed for a few weeks after Hurricane Irma. The restaurant took some damage, but management was able to restore it to operating conditions and is inviting individuals and businesses to return to Avantika for the spicy and seasoned flavours of Thai cuisine every weekday starting at 11:00am.
Avantika serves favourites from Thailand such as red curry, pad Thai noodles and Tom Kha soup, with various choices of meats including chicken, pork and seafood. Guests can order meals with a level of spiciness that suits them – from the easy-to-handle mild to the flaming Thai Hot. Avantika uses fresh chili peppers and basil and other ingredients for an extra hit of flavour.
Full menu and full service, including dine-in or carry-out, is available.
Happy hour returns tomorrow, Friday, from 3:00 to 7:00pm, with half-off specials on all alcoholic beverages and appetizers, such as the flavourful chicken satay, spring rolls and chicken wings.
The restaurant, which is located on the second floor of the Puerto del Sol Building, will be open until one hour before the 9:00pm curfew. Guests can charge their phones and other devices at the restaurant and use the Wi-Fi, compliments of management.
Management says the restaurant will continue to operate until an hour before whatever time the curfew is. Once the curfew is lifted, Avantika returns to its usual hours of 11:00am to 11:00pm.
Avantika’s phone lines are back in operation. Guests can call to place their orders at 584-1444. The full menu is available for viewing at www.avantikasxm.com. The Puerto del Sol Building is on Welfare Road, across from Topper’s Bar and Restaurant, and near Simpson Bay Bridge.
