Award-winning author Jacky Rom will be signing and selling some of her bestselling books on Thursday, May 19, from 4:00 to 6:00pm at Vesna Taverna. The author, drama teacher and presenter wrote all her books while on island – and several of her stories are set on St. Maarten.
Jacky grew up in Romford, Essex, in the United Kingdom and worked as makeup artiste, drama teacher and director before writing her first book, The Missing Extra, a crime novel based on her own experiences in the film industry.
She is currently writing her 17th book on St. Maarten – Fame to Felony is the third book in her Sandra Bernstein Chronicles series. Her books Makeup to Murder and The Golden Masterpiece are both set on St. Maarten.
Besides her work as author, Jacky is also a successful drama teacher, podcaster and documentary maker. In May 2018, Jacky released her first documentary called “Method of Murder”, which can be seen worldwide via Amazon Prime. And her weekly podcast, The Life of a Crime Novelist, can be found on most podcast mediums.
