Come party and enjoy the most Mexican Day of the year at La Patrona Restaurant, the food will delight your palate with authentic Mexican flavours. La Patrona is a casual seaside restaurant with American and Mexican favourites. Come dinner time, the contemporary dining room blossoms into a fine dining venue.
Located in Simpson Bay Resort, the fine Mexican restaurant is open to all food-lovers. Both tourists and locals are welcome to enjoy the delicious traditional cuisine and beautiful seaside views.
The kitchen takes great care with the design of traditional Mexican dishes with family recipes, as well as selected dishes, creating an experience of flavours that will meet the demands and expectations of the most discerning palates. All prepared with authentic Mexican ingredients, from the hand-made tortillas to the chiles in nogada prepared with the original Patrona grandmother’s recipe. Fan favourites include ceviche, fajitas, carnitas, enchiladas, lobster specials, and flambéed steak.
In 2017, the restaurant expanded their menu to include Mexican specialties for lunch, dinner and desserts. At La Patrona, everything is homemade as the establishment aims to bring authentic Mexican cuisine to St. Maarten – no TexMex here!
Cinco De mayo – Fiesta Time!
La Patrona boasts the island’s best tacos, and on this special day their Taco Buffet is just $19.99 – but it gets better – just add $10 for all the Mezcal and beer (Carib) you can drink! La Patrona is also very well-loved for their desserts, and included in their buffet will be their delicious Tres Leches Cake and Flan Napolitano.
Live music
There will be live music by the incredible Chocolate Sax bringing you classics and fresh sounds at this scenic, seaside restaurant. It is an amazing atmosphere especially at sunset, so don’t miss out. Dinner starts at 6:00pm and ends at 9:30pm. You have the choice to dine inside or outside, but either way you can still enjoy the beautiful scenery as the servers, bartenders and managers go above and beyond to make you feel welcome.
La Patrona provides vegetarian friendly, vegan and gluten free options. Takeout is available, reservations are recommended. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, provides free WiFi, and highchairs are available.
