Coca-Cola’s new flavours

Have you tried them all?

Diet Coke was launched in the US in 1982. This delicious fizzy and refreshing companion has been a favourite amongst many since then. When Coca Cola also launched Coke Zero, some wondered? What is the difference? It’s actually the taste!

Both drinks are sugar free and calorie free. Coca-Cola Zero Sugar looks and tastes more like Coca-Cola Classic, while Diet Coke has a different blend of flavours, which gives it a lighter taste. This taste, which so many have fallen in love with, has now been transformed into something new and exciting: 4 extra flavours!

Twisted Mango, Ginger Lime, Feisty Cherry and Blood Orange flavours were launched just this year and they are quickly gaining popularity. Due to the great response, CC1 has decided to also bring all four to Sint Maarten.

How would you describe their new flavours exactly?

Twisted Mango

Ordinary tropical fruit cannot relate. Twisted Mango is a wild child. Like hair on fire, off the wall kind of wild. It puts pineapple to shame and laughs at papaya. Best of all? It knows it's crazy. Once you pull the tab and taste that sweet smooth mango flavour, there's no containing it!

Feisty Cherry

Ok, so be warned: Feisty Cherry has an attitude. The fruit flavour is sweet, sure. But this one’s a little bit extra. This one has a little sass with a hint of chili and it’s not afraid to punch back!

Zesty Blood Orange

Cracking open a can of Zesty Blood Orange is an experience unto itself. You hear that fizz and taste that zesty blood orange-flavoured goodness, and your senses just come alive. You'll dance. You'll LOL. You'll stand up on a desk and yell "CARPE DIEM!" and everyone will stare at you awkwardly.

Ginger Lime

This flavour is on another level. Ginger Lime makes you question everything you've ever known. With just the right amount of lime and ginger flavour, it's so crisp, it'll knock your socks off and make you say, "Where have you been all my life?”

In a recent survey conducted by CC1, the response of the public to the new Diet Coke flavours was overwhelmingly positive. “We wanted to know if our customers were interested in trying something new. Our survey concluded: YES! That is why we brought them to Sint Maarten so quickly,” explains Agnetha Huijting,Senior Trade Marketing Coordinator at CC1.

Agnetha admits that her favourite flavour is Feisty Cherry: “It reminds me of the old Coca Cola cherry with a fresh twist. I think there is a flavour for everyone to fall in love with in this new series of Diet Coke.”

At Out and About our taste buds were tingling with excitement when we got the chance to taste all four flavours. Agnetha was right; everyone had a different flavour that they named ‘the winner’.

What flavour will be your favourite? Pick up all four: Twisted Mango, Ginger Lime, Feisty Cherry and Blood Orange, and decide for yourself!

CC1 will also be hosting various samplings in the coming weeks. More information on samplings, upcoming events and other special surprises can be found on CC1’s Facebook page: www.facebook.com/CC1SXM.
