St. Maarten is gearing up for an unforgettable summer, and the excitement kicks off with GoLocal XL, better known as Koop Avond! Starting on July 4, and continuing every Thursday until August 1, the Philipsburg boardwalk will be transformed into a bustling marketplace from 5:00 to 10:00pm, as some 50 plus vendors offer a variety of products and mouth-watering food. It will be the perfect spot to discover local treasures and indulge in culinary delights.
Each Thursday evening will be filled with the vibrant sounds of different musical genres, showcasing the talents of our amazing local artistes. Whether you're a fan of reggae, soca, jazz, or pop, there's something for everyone to enjoy. It's a fantastic way to experience the rich cultural tapestry of St. Maarten while supporting our community.
But the fun doesn’t stop there! Just two days after Koop Avond, it's time for the largest fun zone for kids – Kidz Pop on Saturday and Sunday, July 6 and 7. This exciting event will take place at the APS Parking Lot and promises endless entertainment for children of all ages. From wet and dry bouncy castles and laser tag to a skating rink and a plethora of fun activities, there's no shortage of excitement. Plus, delicious food and BBQ will be on sale to keep everyone fuelled up for the day. At just US $5 for entrance, it's an affordable and fun-filled way to keep the kids entertained while school is out.
And Xtratight hasn't forgotten about you, parents! On Saturday, July 13, get ready for a night to remember with Vayb, the former lead singer of Carimi, live in concert at the Aleeze Convention Center and Event Hall. With tickets priced at $40 in advance and $50 at the gate, this is an event you won't want to miss. VIP tickets are still available, offering an even more exclusive experience.
