~ Back-to-school drive ~

An admirable young man by the name of Ki-mani Olivacce has started his back-to-school drive which will be ongoing until August 8. Ki-mani himself tells us why: “Mainly you see children who are not well-supplied. This will help them to be equipped for the new school year and have the tools they need.”

Inspired to do community service by his mother, who started Voices Of Our Children (VOOC), this is the first fundraising Ki-mani has created on his own.

He is a 10th grader at Learning Unlimited with a very busy schedule: Judo and basketball, plus two weekly youth groups; but he still finds the time to spearhead a fundraising event.

WIB has helped out bigtime with its very own drop-off box for school supplies as well as monetary donations at various WIB locations. The main Drop-off location is at Meyers Group, which is located next to the car inspection on Pond Island. You can drop off monetary donations or school supplies.

For more detailed information, contact Ki-mani at 522-5252 or check out his Foundation’s Facebook page: SXM One Love Basketball Team.
