Heineken Regatta goes cashless!

Heineken Regatta goes cashless!

In an effort to provide faster service and minimize plastic waste, St. Maarten Heineken Regatta is going cashless this year for its 44th edition! Patrons will no longer have to stand in line to buy tokens – which they might not even finish before the end of the night – instead, all drink and food transactions in the Regatta Village in Port de Plaisance will take place with credit in your KBand app or card.

To avoid long lines, there will be various top-up locations throughout the village which will be taking both cash and card. And if you have data, you can skip the line altogether and top-up your credit on your phone with the KBand app – no need to throw out your leftover tokens at the end of the event! The credit on the KBand app or card will stay on your account as it can also be used for future events – not just for the duration of the regatta.

Heineken Regatta hopes this initiative will ensure shorter waiting as that the innovative approach eliminates the need for cash or tokens. Patrons simply tap the QR code on their phone or card, making transactions a seamless and convenient experience for both customers and bar staff. More importantly, bartenders no longer have to count tokens. This means they will have more time to focus on the most important task – taking care of your drinks!

Don’t miss out on the Serious Fun! Make sure to get your tickets online on the KBand app or at any of the following places: Divico Cash & Carry, Tech Hub (Carrefour Bush Road), Boutique Levis Marigot, Mailbox (Simpson Bay), Van Dorp, Kalaboom Headquarters and Digicel (Marigot and Hope Estate).
