Join the Biking Fun @ Caribbean Eagles Bike Fest

From Thursday, November 10, through Sunday, November 13, the Caribbean Eagles will be hosting its 14th annual Bike Fest. All motorcycle riders are welcome to the four-day event of riding and partying!

Each year around St. Maarten Day, the Caribbean Eagles group organises a Bike Fest with motorcycle riders from around the world traveling to St. Maarten to participate. According to the acting Activity Director Jane Therond, “The bikers ride around the island on motors and party each night; some would bring their own motor via sea.” She adds, “As Sint Maarten does not have many roads, we need to make sure we entertain them by having different bands every night and beautiful dancers and shows.”

On Thursday, November 10, the Caribbean Eagles will welcome everyone at Soggy Dollar Bar from 5:00pm for the Welcome Party with the Livin High Band. On Friday, November 11, at 10:30am, the riding starts: Motor riders start at the Caribbean Eagles club house and finish at the Black Cross club house in Hope Estate, where they will rock the night away at at a Live Rock Concert with food, drinks and fun.

On Saturday, the ride starts at 5:00pm at the Caribbean Eagles club house and finishes at Soggy Dollar, where Control Band will be playing local music. The Bike Fest’s final ride takes place on Sunday. Riders once again start at the Caribbean Eagles club house at 10:30am and finish at Soggy Dollar, where a closing ceremony will take place accompanied by some sweet tunes from Percy Rankin and the Bonfire Band. All motor riders are welcome to join the rides around the island. The parties are open to everyone 18 years old and up.

The biking routes depend on the day. “We go around the island clockwise on the one day and counter clockwise the next – with our own traffic team to keep everyone safe. So, from November 10 to 13, please help by giving the motorcade right of way,” Therond says.

As soon as the bikers sign up for the full package, food and drinks are included. “We have a different menu every day. As St. Maarten is the Caribbean capital of delicious food, I personally think that this is one of the reasons the same riders keep coming back; plus, the friendship and hospitality here. By now, we are one big happy family.”

Interested persons can sign up at Soggy Dollar today, Thursday, from 5:00pm or send an email to: Attention Saskia at This email address is being protected from spambots. Full package cost for members is $60; the cost for non-members is $75. This includes a welcome bag with three T-shirts for each day of riding, one cap, one pin, all the food tickets, 12 drink tickets and some nice goodies. “We also have one-day packages of $40, which includes the bag, one T-shirt, one food ticket, two drink tickets and a chance to win an airline ticket,” adds Therond.

Even if you are not a motor rider, you can join the fun parties at Soggy and Black Cross and experience the special bond among bikers up close. “We will have exotic dancers and specials on drinks every night. The first night, we’ll have the mechanical bull and the last night we will host our famous wet T-shirt contest with some nice prices. The only night there is an entrance fee of $10 is on Saturday night at Soggy when we dance with Control.” Caribbean Eagles is a non-profit organization, “so to be able to pull this off, we need all the help we can get from sponsors and volunteers,” Therond concludes.
