La Villa in Grand Case

~ The best of everything ~

There is something so rewarding about dining out in a fine, top quality restaurant. And La Villa is that and so much more. The staff are warm and genuinely friendly, quick with a joke, and also with your favourite social lubricant.

The setting is cosy and upscale, having returned to its pre-Irma elegance with tasteful and understated décor. As great as all that is, the best thing about dining at La Villa is the cuisine. Having enjoyed many meals there, for anniversaries, to entertain special guests and just to have a memorable evening with a friend, it seems they can do no wrong in the kitchen! Delicious doesn’t even come close to describing their culinary creations.

Well, it was one of those nights, a birthday of a good friend, and added to that was the time to celebrate the return of our roof! There was a full menu to tempt each of us and we ran the gamut with appetizers, main course and dessert, all explained in detail by our attentive waiter Jean Carlos. We started with wine and lots of conversation, and finally decided upon our choices. I opted for the medium rare beef steak, thinly sliced and adorned with a perfect peppercorn sauce. On the side were potatoes au gratin and fresh veggies. Birthday girl couldn’t resist the lamb shank prepared with a wine sauce and an impressive presentation of fresh veggies. The counter balance to all this was simple order from my hubby of Pasta Alfredo, dubbed the best ever by someone who is a true aficionado of such things. We indulged in all that and managed to save room for a little café and crème brulée, which was also exquisitely prepared and presented. Then, of course, we had to try some of Jean Carlos’ delicious homemade rum concoctions, which lived up to their name, but I’ll let him tell you about it when you visit for yourself!

Need the Holidays to ring sweet? La Villa is planning a special menu for December 24, Christmas Eve, when they will offer a celebration of flavours worthy of the night! An Amuse Bouche to tease your taste buds followed by an appetizer of Duck Foie Gras, scented with aged rum and served with toast and dried fig puree, or Marinated Wahoo Carpaccio, oyster tartare and fresh herbs. That is just to get you started! The second course is your choice of Roasted Sea Scallops, creamy porcini mushroom sauce and shaved parmesan cheese or Lobster Ravioli, stewed artichokes with bacon and chives in a bisque emulsion. The third course is your choice of Black Angus Beef Fillet with morel mushroom sauce, or Turbot Fillet with green asparagus, and basil shellfish a la marinière. Finish your Christmas Eve dining with mango and passion fruit French Christmas cake.
The menu is a fixed price of 75 euros plus drinks and tax. Make your reservations via Facebook messenger (La Villa Restaurant) or by e-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., or by phone or whatsapp: +590 690 34 20 14.
