Good morning, good afternoon and good night, XP-Kraziez. First, thanks and praises to the Most High God for His blessings which have continued to flow. Thanking our families, friends, loved ones and Da BiG BaD XP Kraziez for never leaving our side on this journey.
Since the closing of Dutch St. Maarten’s Carnival, Da BiG BaD XP has embarked on a journey of taking our music and St. Martin’s music to the wider Caribbean and world stage and we have slowly but surely seen positive results of this musically and culturally influenced initiative.
In addition to being contacted by DJs, promoters and radio personalities from as far as Australia, Europe, Canada, the eastern United States as well as our brother and sister islands in the Caribbean region; our band has just returned from doing some of the region’s carnivals – most recently ending with a top class performance in Anguilla.
Our hit songs include SaNtO, HoW CoMe, DiStAnCe, StEpPinG OuT and our recently released PerFecT, featuring the dynamic Shantillia – a cover that was dubbed another instant XP Classic. We have also had the honour of having three songs in the top 40 Soca Hot-list presented by Large Radio periodically after DJs worldwide submitted their most requested soca songs. This is just super cool as it’s the first time three songs from one band/group/artist have all been on the list at the same time.
“PerFecT” was released on July 30 and quickly grew to be a favourite of the ladies in just one week, the same way that “HoW ComE” did one calendar year before. To say we are thankful, grateful and humbled by this is a huge understatement.
Our mission has been and always will be to produce top class musical projects and to be community minded in all we do. We will continue to contribute to the youth and seniors and will ensure we keep St. Martin MuZiK and Culture moving in the positive direction it has been known for universally.
We will never ever give up MuZiK!
XP-Love
