Save the date: Pink Sunset Sail

If you want to enjoy a nice evening sailing with entertainment along the turquoise waters of Simpson Bay Lagoon, while supporting a worthy cause, then here is your chance. Mark your calendar for October 1, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, to attend the second annual Aqua Mania Adventures Pink Sunset Sail.

The event is geared towards raising funds to support the awareness of breast cancer, which has claimed the lives of many in St. Maarten and has touched many families.

The sail has been set for the day after the popular annual pink parade, which kicks off breast cancer awareness month. All proceeds will be donated to the Positive and Elektralyets foundations. The event will also feature a raffle that will be held with the assistance of local businesses. Red Piano has gone on board to support this year’s event and will be hosting the after party at “Pink Piano” with entertainment by Allan Sheppard.

A total of 140 persons can be catered to. Patrons will leave theMarinaat Simpson Bay Resort at 5:30pm aboard either the Lambada or the Tango, 65’ sailing catamarans. Out Island Charters has also made one of its Golden Eagles available, adding an additional 80 seats to this event. Patrons will be taken on a coastal sail into the sunset along St. Maarten’s picturesque coastline.

Additionally, Aqua Mania Staff will show their support for the fight against breast cancer with “Fridays in Pink,” where employees will wear pink for the entire month of October. They hope that many other companies will follow suit.

Tickets are available at Aqua Mania Adventures (Simpson Bay Resort and Divi Little Bay Beach Resort), online or at the activity desks for hotel guests. The cost is US $40 per person and includes a pink T-shirt, a pink mimosa and open bar and snacks.
