- with the (artistic) Masters June 10
If you’re looking to have a fun time this weekend with the added value of supporting a worthy cause, then make a date with Artcraftcafe Foundation’s Sip and Paint fundraising event, which will be held at Sea Breeze in Divi Little Bay Beach Resort on Saturday, June 10, from 7:00 to 10:00pm.
Artcraftcafe Foundation will be hosting this fun-filled evening in an effort to raise much needed funds for the Art School to help to expand its programme and offer more artistic diversity to its students.
The Art School will be moving upstairs from its current location on Old Street in Philipsburg to create space to have the availability to use clay.
Ceramics and fusion glass will be the newest form of art being offered next to the regular drawing and painting at the school. This is very important for the island of St. Maarten/St. Martin to take creativity to a much higher level and groom youths in these artistic areas.
Artcraftcafe: “We will have all the famous artistes from the island such as Sir Roland Richardson, Ras Moseera, Stephy Tihany and Tess Verheij participating.”
Patrons will have a choice of two painting styles:
Figurative and abstract art. Sir Roland Richardson will be holding a live performance in painting so attendees will get a chance to paint along with this great master. Verheij, who runs Artcraftcafe Foundation, will be hosting the abstract painting session.
The other participating artists will be giving instructions and offering hands-on lessons.
Other attractions include live music, a silent auction and raffles that will be held with great prizes on offer. The live auction will be hosted by Antoine Mandy from Dreams Gallery.
Tickets cost US $50 per person, while VIP reservation is $65 per person (which will grant patrons an artist experience). Prices include canvas, drinks and snacks. Tickets are available at Artcraftcafe.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to have a hands-on experience with some of St. Maarten/St. Martin’s leading artists on your canvas.
It will be the biggest art event of the year. See you there!
