Paid parking at Kim Sha Beach
For the third year running, Rotary Club of St. Maarten-Mid Isle will be organizing paid parking for the Heineken Regatta shows at Kim Sha Beach on Saturday, March 5, and Sunday, March 6, starting at 4:00pm on both nights. The cost will be US $10 per car each night.
Rotarians in their “Rotarian at Work” T-shirts will be manning the parking lot entrances and exits and the general public is requested to adhere to the instructional signs that will be in place from early Saturday morning. These signs are placed under the instructions of the Traffic Police and will be enforced.
All parking proceeds will go toward local community projects organized by Rotary Club of St. Maarten-Mid Isle. Community projects that have benefited from such proceeds in previous years are the Diabetes Foundation (provision of equipment and supplies to assist them with their weekly testing in the community) Mental Health Foundation (air conditioners), After School Activities/No Kidding with Our Kids Foundation (coolers, school breakfast program at Sister Marie Laurence School).
