Where to dine tonight? Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Thanksgiving is a time to enjoy a meal with your loved ones and express gratitude for life’s many blessings. Whether you choose to celebrate the holiday or are looking for an excuse to go out for dinner, these Out N About-approved hotspots offer fantastic foods and delicious drinks today, Thursday, November 28.

LA PATRONA

WHEN: 6:00-8:00pm and 8:30-10:30pm.

La Patrona extends a warm invitation to join their ocean-front buffet-style Thanksgiving feast, with a seating from 6:00pm to 7:45pm and a second one from 8:00pm to 10:00pm this evening. Reservations are highly recommended, and can be made today from 7:00am to 5:00pm.

WHAT: Adults pay $62 ($36 for children under 11 years old) for a wide selection of all-you-can-eat delicious holiday foods, including a catering station with a variety of turkey specialties plus some of the clients’ favourite items such as pumpkin pie, roast beef, and pork scallops with mushroom sauce.

La Patrona also caters to vegetarians and vegans with its Spinach Salad, Green Salad, Pumpkin pie, pumpkin soup, mashed potatoes, sautéed brussels sprouts, mashed sweet potatoes, stuffed mushrooms, and vegetarian lasagna. Of course, there will also be plenty of salads available and a beautiful dessert station with delicious sweet treats.

EXTRA: Every Thanksgiving, La Patrona is fully decorated and set up with a beautiful buffet, to go with its carefully curated ambiance. Guests in the first seating are kindly asked to conclude their visit by 8:00pm so that our team can prepare the space for those arriving for the second seating. This allows us to provide every guest with the impeccable service and cosy atmosphere they deserve.

 

MARY’S BOON

WHEN: 6:00pm and 8:00pm.

At The Boon Bar & Restaurant, located beach front in the Mary’s Boon hotel – established in 1970, as the first hotel in Simpson Bay – Thanksgiving dinner is a cherished tradition. Tonight, guests can indulge in a three-course dinner with a seating at 6:00pm and a second seating at 8:00pm. Mary’s Boon will be taking reservations until both seatings are full, but walk-ins will be accommodated if space is available.

WHAT: For just $55 per person, guests will enjoy a meal of creamy pumpkin soup or spinach & arugula salad to start, a main of roasted turkey or honey glazed ham served with mashed sweet potato, stuffing, green beans, carrots and cranberry slices and, for dessert, pumpkin pie, pecan pie or cheesecake. Mary’s Boon always accommodates all guests, so vegetarians can opt for a vegetarian stir-fry with tofu.

Little ones are more than welcome at The Boon. While there is no dedicated children’s menu for Thanksgiving, the staff can prepare something from their regular kids’ menu!

Throughout the day, Mary’s Boon Bar Snack menu with mozzarella sticks, bitterballen, onion rings and chicken wings will also be available to snack on while lounging on the beautiful beach or while you watch the sunset from the bar. Of course, the regular lunch menu will be available during the day for those who want to start the festivities early.

EXTRA: Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine or champagne, a dazzling view of Simpson Bay Beach, fun Thanksgiving decorations and sweet sounds by a local Caribbean steel drummer, creating a truly memorable Caribbean Thanksgiving dinner experience!

 

PINEAPPLE PETE

WHEN: From 11:00am to closing.

The staff at Pineapple Pete is grateful for so many things, and aims to celebrate life’s blessings with its cherished customers today with various Thanksgiving specials. Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins will be accommodated if space allows. Rather celebrate at home? No problem: Pineapple Pete’s specials are all available for take-out – a very popular option for Thanksgiving.

WHAT: To start, patrons can enjoy a cream of broccoli soup for $9.95 or the famous lobster bisque for $12.95. For main, Pineapple Pete will be cooking up turkeys all day long, and the traditional turkey served with mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, cranberry jelly and vegetables. The lunch portion is available for just $16.95, the dinner portion for $21.95. Of course Thanksgiving is not complete without something sweet: finish up your meal with delicious pumpkin pie, baked for the occasion.

Though turkey is of course the classic Thanksgiving staple, Pineapple Pete’s renowned lobster dishes remain immensely popular as people like to treat themselves and their loves ones on this day.

EXTRA: Compliment your meal with a specially-crafted Cranberry Mojito. During dinner, the talented Ronny Santana will provide the perfect musical backdrop, and after you finish your tasty meal, the pool room and arcade await for more holiday fun.

 

SALT

WHEN: 5:00 until 10:00pm.

For SALT, located in the beautiful Morgan Resort, Thanksgiving is a positive holiday meant to celebrate gratitude with its guests. Its staff can’t get enough of the holiday, which is why they are once again hosting a special Thanksgiving dinner for the occasion. Reservations are recommended and can still be made today, depending on the space.

WHAT: For $75 per person, indulge in a luxurious three-course dinner consisting of corn chowder with truffle foam, grilled vegetable salad with pesto, spiced sweet potato and couscous or a Thanksgiving garden salad with goat cheese as appetizer. Then, a choice of butter-basted turkey breast, herb-crusted rack of lamb, spice-rubbed pork chop or pan-seared salmon as main, followed by poached pear tart, pumpkin pannacotta or rose wine-poached peaches.

SALT’s extensive a la carte menu, influenced by the Caribbean, will also be available tonight and there will be plenty of specially-themed craft cocktails.

EXTRA: Diners will enjoy the resort’s annual Christmas décor and be treated to live entertainment by the talented Cyndel from 6:00 to 9:00pm – and of course a mesmerising view of the resort’s infinity pool overlooking the Caribbean sea.

 

SUGAR MILL

WHEN: From 12:00pm to 5:00pm.

Sugar Mill will be serving up their legendary three-course Thanksgiving lunch from noon to 5:00pm. Unfortunately, reservations closed on Wednesday, but you can still order their fantastic meal for take-out today.

WHAT: Sugar Mill offers a traditional lunch with a Caribbean kick for $29 per person, starting off with a creamy roasted butternut and pumpkin bisque. Mango-glazed turkey with their speciality stuffing, honey-glazed ham, grilled chicken with a creamy peppercorn sauce; served with pumpkin fried rice, candied yams, fluffy corn muffins, classic scalloped potatoes, sautéed green beans and carrots, fried plantains, and of course, cranberry sauce will be served for the main course. And dessert options are between pumpkin pie, sweet potato pie and peach pie.

EXTRA: Sugar Mill’s speciality eggnog will be available for the occasion.

TOPPER’S

WHEN: 11:00am until 10:00pm

Topper’s will be offering their famous Thanksgiving specials all day from 11:00am until 10:00pm for their 18th consecutive year. Eaters can indulge in traditional dishes for dine-in or take-out. Reservations are filling up, but Topper’s will take them as long as they can, and will continue to try to accommodate walk-ins.

WHAT: The $25.95 Thanksgiving main course consists of oven roasted turkey, homemade gravy, apple raisin stuffing, homemade mashed potatoes, butternut squash, steamed broccoli, carrots and cranberry sauce. For $7.95, guests can indulge in homemade pumpkin pie, pecan pie or Topper’s famous rhum cake to end their meal with a bang.

Topper’s elaborate regular menu will be available for vegetarian and pescatarian options. Last, but not least, diners can wash all that delicious food down with Topper‘s homemade apple pie rum martini.

EXTRA: DJ Greg and Topper’s legendary karaoke starts at 8:00pm for a fun and lively Thanksgiving.

 

TORTUGA

WHEN: From 6:30pm onwards.

Tortuga’s fabulous Thanksgiving dinner, a beloved tradition for the restaurant, starts at 6:00pm, but why not come a little earlier to catch the restaurant’s amazing sunset views? Reservations are recommended, as Tortuga is usually fully booked for Thankgiving. If they’re full, take-out is always an option.

WHAT: For just $39 per person ($15 for kids up to 12 years old), patrons can indulge in an elaborate dinner at Tortuga, including an extensive salad station, herb-glazed roasted turkey with classic stuffing, gratin potato, roasted rosemary potatoes, scalloped corn, green bean casserole, steamed vegetables, cranberry orange sauce and guavaberry turkey gravy. For dessert, dig into homemade tiramisu or creamy homemade cheesecake – you won’t regret it.

Looking for some fun in the sun to ring in the Thanksgiving celebrations? Tortuga offers complimentary beach chairs with a minimum purchase – which won’t be hard to match with the restaurant’s extensive lunch and drink menu.
