Xtratight Talent Breakthrough Returns

Bigger, Better, and Ready to Shine!

After a brief pause, Xtratight Talent Breakthrough is back and better than ever, reigniting the stage for young, talented performers across St. Maarten/ St. Martin. This past Saturday, the energy and excitement filled the air as more than 23 exceptional young talents auditioned for a coveted spot in the finals.

Bertaux “Mr. Rude” Fleming, was thrilled to witness the performances, expressing his astonishment at the wealth of talent within the community: “It was truly inspiring to hear these young performers again. Our island is bursting with talented youth, and it’s our responsibility to give them the stage they deserve. Their potential is endless.”

Xtratight Talent Breakthrough is not just a competition; it’s a platform for nurturing the incredible talents of the island's youth. Each finalist will now undergo six weeks of intensive coaching and preparation to sharpen their skills and bring their best to the finals. This crucial development phase is aimed at ensuring they are fully prepared to step onto the big stage and showcase their abilities.

The highly anticipated finals will take place on Saturday, October 19, at the Aleeze Convention Center and Event Hall. “We are excited to welcome the community and showcase the impressive talent of our finalists,” organisers said.

Let’s take a moment to congratulate all 19 finalists who auditioned on Saturday. The road to the finals is set, and Xtratight is proud to announce this year’s Breakthrough Finalists: Dejanique Webster, Shanell Jean, David Graham, Kirk Vital, Nyah Kalmera, Amalia Emmanuel, Juan Rengel, Mai-Angel Martis, Ian Soriano, Dominick Thomas, Sylvian Henry, Kaynola Miller, Abraham Theranika, Savannah Ortega, Shanel Bucknor, O’Brian Dennia, Shamarr Hodge, Mila Granthner and Jaylen Chandler.

The finalists will be competing in the following five categories: Singing, Instruments, Urban Dance, Technique Dance and Rapping.
