Behind the scenes, Angela ensures the engine runs. Her administrative finesse keeps things in motion, from coordinating deliveries to juggling schedules. There’s no glamour in logistics; but thanks to Angela’s sharp focus and meticulous care, Freegan Foundation stays responsive and reliable. She is the reason the work looks effortless, because she’s taken care of the hard parts before anyone notices.
Then there’s Tamara. She does more than hand out meals. With a kind word, a gentle check-in, and that unmissable smile, she brings humanity back into the daily struggle of those facing hunger. Her presence offers more than food, it offers hope – that someone sees you, hears you and cares.
And finally, there’s 78-year-old Signita. Try keeping up with her. She lifts, sorts, organizes, and encourages. There’s a quiet defiance in her energy – proof that purpose doesn’t retire. Her spirit pulls others in and pushes the mission forward. Volunteers like Signita don’t just help the community; they show us what’s possible when you keep showing up.
