WILLEMSTAD--Fully vaccinated persons are about eighty per cent protected against the Delta (also known as Indian) variant of coronavirus. For those who had only one shot this is some thirty per cent.
This was announced by epidemiologist Izzy Gerstenbluth during the evening news of TeleCuraçao.
According to him, current infections with the Delta variant in England and Missouri in the US should be closely monitored. The vaccination rate in England is high and that of the American state is very low, “so we can learn a lot from that,” according to the medical expert.
