Anguilla records its 2nd murder for 2018

ANGUILLA--The Royal Anguilla Police Force (RAPF) is investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting incident which occurred in North Side at the junction of North Side Road and True Eyes Road on Sunday, June 3, around 10:00pm.


As a result of the incident a 29-year-old man who resided in Brimigen received a gunshot injury to his upper body which resulted in his being taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for medical attention, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The name of the deceased has not yet been released by the police.
As the police continue their investigation into this matter they are appealing to members of the public who may have been in North Side at the junction of North Side Road and True Eyes Road, and may have witnessed this shooting incident. They are asked to give any information regarding the shooting to the Valley Police Station or to send information via the RAPF Tips Website by logging on to
www.gov.ai/911 which is a secured website.
The Commissioner of Police and members of the RAPF extend sympathy to the grieved family and friends of the deceased. A Family Liaison Officer has been appointed to the family.
