Anguilla Summer Festival officially opens Thursday

ANGUILLA--This year’s Summer Festival will open once again with a ‘bang’ as fireworks will start the ten days of activities. The theme this year is “Strength and Resilience Like You’ve Never seen; As we Celebrate Anguilla Summer Festival 2018.”

The opening this year will be a shorter one than usual as it is to be followed by the Soca Rave show. It will start at 6:30pm, Thursday, August 2, and include addresses from the Minister of Social Development Evans McNiel Rogers, the Commissioner of Police Paul Morrison and the chair of the Summer Festival Lisa Rey.

Contestants from the Miss Anguilla, Talented Teen and Prince and Princess shows will parade on stage for all to see and the event will be hosted by Lisa Rey.
