ANGUILLA--Boat racing enthusiasts are happy that activities are to resume this weekend with a B-class race at Meads Bay on Saturday and an A-class race, also at Meads Bay, on Sunday and Monday.

New regulations and restrictions are in place. No speed boats other than those permitted by the Boat Racing Association will be allowed to follow the sail boats and no security vessels or sailboats are allowed to pass Anguillita. The races will all start at 1:00PM and boats have to be back in Sandy Ground no later than 5:00PM. Another regulation is that all boat racing fans following the races on land are asked to practice social distancing measures, respiratory hygiene and cleanliness protocols.

There are five races during June and July leading up to the August Race Week that starts on August 2 and continues for the week, ending with the Championship Race on August 9.
