Eighteen Anguillian students to graduate at UWI ceremony

ANGUILLA--Eighteen students from the University of the West Indies (UWI) Anguilla Open Campus are slated for graduation at the 2017 Graduation Ceremony to be held in Grenada on Saturday, October 14. The students successfully completed their Certificate, Associate’s, Bachelor’s and Masters’ degree programmes in Hospitality, Paralegal Studies, Social Work, Education, Human Resources, Banking and Finance, Accounting and Management Studies. 

  Six students Natasha Allwaters, Myrna Johnson, Ayisha Olivacce, Shanomay Young, Regina Hutchinson and Landia Richardson-Hodge will graduate with First Class Honours, while Maureen Richardson and Master’s students Brittany Christopher-Harris and Keturah Thompson will receive Distinctions.

  The members of the local Class of 2017 were congratulated and toasted by the Staff, Alumni and Guild of Students of the UWI Open Campus Anguilla in a special pre-graduation ceremony send-off on Thursday, October 5. Eight of the graduands from Anguilla will be travelling to Grenada with friends and family members to attend the ceremony. Also in attendance in support of the graduands will be Manager for the UWI British Overseas Territories, Dr. Phyllis Fleming-Banks. After the official Presentation Ceremony, the new graduates and their guests will celebrate their academic achievements at an official reception.
