Eutel offers clients some hurricane relief

Clients at Eutel on Wednesday morning.

ST. EUSTATIUS--Clients of St. Eustatius Telephone Company Eutel NV can look forward to some breathing space on their October invoices. The company has extended a one-time discount to all clients due to the massive damage to its network caused by Hurricanes Irma and Maria in September.

As invoices for September have already been forwarded to clients, the discount will be applied in the October billing cycle.

Managing Director Maryteresse Lijfrock-Redan said many poles and wires were down around the island. Modems were also damaged and need to be reconfigured due to power outages.

Clients have “experienced the inconvenience of disturbed Internet service or no Internet service at all for a period of time,” she said.

For further inquiries about the discount, contact customer service on +599-318-2210/2320.
