Government commenced the removal of the former Air Lekkerbek restaurant on Walter J.A. Nisbeth Road on Tuesday morning.
The owner of the structure did not react to the Ministry of Infrastructure’s notice to remove the old airplane and clean up the area. Based on the non-response, the tearing down and removal of the structure was undertaken by government. (Andrew Dick photo)
