Dutch State Secretary for Infrastructure and Water Management Stientje van Veldhoven and Commissioner James Kroon of Environmental Planning officially started site preparation for the construction of a gunpowder depot in Bonaire on Wednesday, July 17.
Together they moved dirt with an excavator to symbolically initiate groundwork in the area of Santa Clara, where the new fireworks and explosives storage facility will be built.
