Gasoline, diesel prices go down

PHILIPSBURG--The maximum consumer prices for unleaded gasoline and diesel will decrease at the pumps as of tomorrow, Thursday, July 28, at 6:00am, the Ministry of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Traffic and Telecommunication announced.

The consumer price for gasoline, including taxes, will decrease from the current price of NAf. 1.868 per litre to the new price of NAf. 1.748 per litre, which is a decrease by 12 cents.

The new diesel price will go down by nine cents from NAf. 1.368 to NAf. 1.274., taxes included.

The maximum wholesale prices with taxes have been set at NAf. 1.520 for gasoline and at NAf. 1.087 for diesel fuel.

The Ministry cites “ongoing developments on the international level” in which “the prices of crude oil have experienced downward adjustments,” as reasons behind the price changes.
