Governor’s Symposium to focus on climate change

HARBOUR VIEW--The 2018 Governor’s Symposium will focus on “Climate Change and Small Island States – A Call for Strategic Action.” The invitation-only event will be held in auditorium of the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Cupecoy on June 15.

Local, regional and international speakers will share their views, ideas and participate in an interactive panel discussion. They will address among others trends, vulnerabilities, effects of climate change especially as it relates to Small Islands States, and the need for policy action.

Governor Eugene Holiday invites anyone 15 years and older interested in attending the symposium to submit personal information (required details on Facebook.com/Governor of Sint Maarten) to the Governor’s Cabinet. Selected persons will receive an invitation to the Symposium. Deadline for submission is June 11.
