Joint health, labour and immigration controls

The Regional Health Authority ARS and the Gendarmerie held joint health, labour and immigration controls in various districts in French St. Martin on Wednesday. According to the Gendarmerie, the objectives of the exercise were to inspect restaurants and bars to ensure they are following the applicable health and safety requirements, as well as to check that all staff had correct documentation to work and reside in St. Martin. The controls were random and not part of any ongoing investigation, said the Gendarmerie on Wednesday afternoon. In photo: A bar in Sandy Ground during the health and labour inspection.
