Lawsuit for elections

Interim Curaçao Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas, flanked by his son (at right), confirms the newly sworn-in cabinet’s intention to postpone the early elections of April 28 right after he was installed as such. Over 350 citizens on Monday at noon had already joined a class action suit to be filed against this decision in the local court by attorney Achim Henriquez. There is also a separate online petition for the snap election to continue as planned of “Pueblo di Kòrsou” that more than 2,300 persons had signed so far. In addition, a protest march against suspending the elections of “Komishon Akshon Wishi/Marchena i Besindario” led by Kenneth Valpoort has been planned in Marchena today, Tuesday.
